Peugeot 108 ECU fault memory lock active

Hi, I've got a 2016 Peugeot 108 with a gasoline engine that's throwing a weird error. The ECU diagnostics are showing "Fault memory lock active". Mileage is at 109400 km. All I'm getting is an error stored in the error memory. I suspect it might be due to undervoltage in the vehicle. Has anyone encountered this before?

Hey, I had something similar happen with my 108. It was a real head-scratcher. I don't remember the exact code, but it kept saying there was an issue with the control unit. Did you check your battery recently?

Yeah, the battery seems fine, but I did have some trouble starting it a few weeks back. Did your issue also point towards undervoltage, or was it something else entirely?

You know, I think you're on the right track. Now that I think about it, I did leave my lights on a couple of times before the error popped up. It ended up being a weird car electronics glitch. Honestly, I just took it to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quickly.

Thanks for the info! Appreciate you sharing your experience. Ended up taking it to the shop as you suggested. Indeed, undervoltage was the culprit, causing the ECU to lock. Cost me about 240€ to get it fixed. All good now!
