Peugeot 108 emergency call system malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Peugeot 108 is experiencing a malfunction in its emergency call system, indicated by an error message and warning light on the speedometer. The suspected cause is a defective connection, possibly in the SOS module. The recommended solution is to have a professional workshop diagnose and repair the issue, which was confirmed to be a defective plug connection and was successfully repaired.

Thanks for your reply. I have not checked error codes, but your experience sounds very similar. Was the repair complicated, or is it something I could potentially handle myself?

Honestly, unless you're pretty handy with automotive electrics, I'd advise against tackling it yourself. The SOS module can be a pain to get to, and you don't want to risk messing anything else up. I ended up biting the bullet and taking mine to a trusted workshop.

Thanks for the advice. I suspected a workshop visit might be necessary. I took it to a local workshop and it turned out to be, as suspected, a defective plug connection. It was repaired for 95€ Thanks again!

Ugh, telematics malfunctions. I feel your pain! Had almost the exact same thing with my old Vauxhall Corsa. Is it throwing any specific diagnostic codes? For me, it turned out to be a flaky connection in the SOS module itself. The constant error messages were driving me nuts!
