Peugeot 108 intake air temperature sensor issue

I'm having some trouble with my 2019 Peugeot 108, gasoline engine. The check engine light keeps popping up, and the engine feels like it's lost power. I ran a diagnostics check, and it's showing an error related to the intake air temperature sensor. On top of that, the engine is running rough. Mileage is at 203382 km. Anyone else experienced this?

Oh, that sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my 108 – it felt like the car was dragging its feet, you know? The engine light was on, and the whole thing just felt off. I didn't check the error codes myself, but the symptoms sound very familiar. Did you notice if it was worse on certain days, like when it was particularly hot or cold?

Interesting. I hadn't really paid attention to the weather, but now that you mention it, it might be worse on warmer days. Was it definitely the intake air temperature sensor in your case? And how did you resolve the problem?

Yes, definitely sounds like my issue! While I am not an expert, it does sound exactly like the intake air temperature sensor. I ended up taking it to a workshop. Honestly, with sensors and electronics, I prefer to leave it to the pros to avoid making things worse. They confirmed it was the IAT sensor and replaced it.

Thanks for the insight! I suspected as much, but it's good to have some confirmation. I'll take it to the workshop and have them replace the intake air temperature sensor. The repair ended up costing me around 155€. Hopefully, that'll sort it out.
