Peugeot 108 rough starting

My 2016 Peugeot 108 with a gasoline engine is giving me some grief. It's got 91342 km on the clock. Lately, it's been starting really poorly, and feels like it's lost some power. Also, I scanned it and there's an error stored. I'm thinking it might be the camshaft sensor, maybe a bad connection? Any ideas?

Hey, sounds familiar. I've got a Peugeot 108 too. Had a similar problem a while back – rough starts and felt like it was choking. Someone suggested it was the crankshaft sensor, or maybe the camshaft position. I think in the end it turned out that a wire was loose, like a bad spark plug wire in older cars. Gave the plug a wiggle and it ran again... for a while.

Interesting. So, was it definitely the camshaft sensor then? How easy was it to get to? I've had a quick look but can't immediately see it. Guessing it's buried somewhere awkward?

Well, I didn't fix it myself, to be honest. I got fed up with the stalling engine and lack of power, and took it straight to a workshop. They told me the connection on the camshaft sensor was faulty. Cost me about 95€ to get sorted. Probably best to get it checked out properly before you start poking around too much yourself.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like I'm on the right track then. I'll take a look at the connections and if that doesn't work, I'll take it to a garage. Appreciate the help!
