Peugeot 2008 Audio System Failure

I had a similar issue with my 2008. Have you noticed any distortion or crackling sounds before it completely failed? It might be a speaker issue. In my case, the bass speaker was defective. Can you confirm if the radio display and system settings are functioning correctly despite the lack of sound?

No distortion or crackling, it just went silent. The display works fine, and I can navigate the menus, connect to Bluetooth, etc. It's just that there's no actual sound output at all. If it's the bass speaker, would that cause all the speakers to stop working?

A defective bass speaker could potentially cause the entire audio system to shut down as a protective measure to prevent further damage to the amplifier or other components. Thanks for the insight. I took it to a local workshop, and it turned out the bass speaker was indeed the culprit. They replaced it, and the audio system is now working perfectly. Cost me around 280€.
