Peugeot 2008 Intermittent Starting Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Peugeot 2008 diesel was experiencing intermittent starting issues, cutting out while driving, and running roughly. The problem was suspected to be related to the ignition switch, but it was ultimately identified as a defective fuse for the car electronics located under the hood. Replacing the fuse resolved the issue, and the car now operates smoothly.

Thanks! Which fuse are you referring to specifically? And where is it located?

It was the fuse for the car electronics, under the hood in the fuse box. Honestly, though, I tried replacing it, and it helped for a bit, but the problem came back. Ended up taking it to a workshop, and they sorted it out properly. I would suggest doing the same.

Thanks for the advice! It turned out to be exactly what you said. I went to the workshop; they replaced the defective fuse, and now the car runs smoothly. Total cost was 52€. Appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar! I had similar issues with my 2008 (also diesel). Engine wouldn't start randomly, and then would just die on me. Have you checked the fuses? A defective fuse could cause this.
