Thanks for the tip! When you say "door harness", do you mean the bundle of wires that goes from the car body into the door itself? Is it easy to get to, and is there a good way to test the wires? I'm not sure I have the right tools for that.

Yes, exactly, I mean the wires that go from the car's body to the door. In my case, the insulation was cracked, and the copper wire inside was broken due to metal fatigue. While you can try to check the continuity with a multimeter, I would recommend taking it to a workshop. At least they should be able to read out the error memory. The repair shop should be able to diagnose the error quickly.

Thanks a lot for your help! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on, it was a defective cable or plug connection, like you said. They fixed it for 95€. Much appreciated!

Hello there, I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra, although the symptoms weren't exactly the same. It turned out to be a broken wire in the door harness where it flexes every time you open and close the door. Kind of like bending a paperclip back and forth until it snaps. Have you checked the wiring and connections going to the door handle and actuator? A loose or corroded connector could also be the culprit.
