Peugeot 2008 Radio Reception Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Peugeot 2008 owner is experiencing poor radio reception, with error codes indicating an antenna fault. The issue is isolated to the radio, as Bluetooth and USB audio function correctly, suggesting a defective antenna. The recommended solution is to have the antenna tested and potentially replaced by a professional, which resolved the problem for the owner.

It's started maybe a month ago, the car has 183532 km on it. I haven't touched the grounding but I don't even know where to start checking it. Bluetooth and USB audio are fine, it's purely the radio. So does that confirm it is an Antenna defective?

Okay, since Bluetooth and USB are working normally, that isolates the problem to the radio receiver or antenna circuit. Given the error codes and FM-only issue, it's highly probable the antenna is defective. The ground point will likely be near the base of the antenna. However, fiddling with grounds without experience can create other issues. My recommendation is to get it to a workshop and get the antenna tested.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions! I'll bite the bullet and take it in. Turns out you were right. The antenna was indeed defective, and the cost to replace it was 255€. Radio works perfectly now!

I bought a 2024 Peugeot 2008, and the car radio doesn't tune for better reception when there are two frequencies in the same city or when I move to another location. I have to do it manually. I have another car, twenty years old, with the original car radio, and this has never happened to me. What could it be? Thank you in advance for your answer.

Check if your radio has an "AF" (Alternative Frequency) setting, which allows the radio to automatically switch to the strongest signal for a station. Make sure this feature is enabled in your infotainment system settings. If the issue persists, it might be worth consulting your dealership for further assistance. Let me know if this helps or if you have any other questions!

Sounds like a potential antenna issue, especially given the error codes. Has this been happening since you got the car, or did it start recently? Have you checked the antenna ground connection? A poor ground can definitely cause FM signal problems and static noise. Also, is it just FM, or do other audio sources (like Bluetooth or USB) have issues too?
