Peugeot 2008 rough cold start

My 2018 Peugeot 2008 with a gasoline engine is starting rough when cold, with poor engine running during start-up. It struggles to fire up. I suspect a dodgy cold start injector. Anyone else experienced this? I've read about fuel rail issues and injector cleaner, but I'm open to suggestions.

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my 2008. Have you checked the fuel delivery? Could be the injector itself is defective.

Fuel delivery is on my list. When you say defective injector, did you try cleaning yours, or did you just replace it? Any way to test the injectors properly without pulling them?

I didn't bother with cleaning, just went straight to replacing the faulty injector. Best bet is to get it to a workshop for proper injector testing. Saves you time and potential headaches.

I took it to the shop. It was a defective injector as suspected. New injector fitted and all is good now. Cost me 515€. Thanks for confirming my suspicions!
