Appreciate the swift response. Beyond the smartphone connectivity, I have noticed no other anomalies regarding the infotainment system, navigation, or audio output. Could you elaborate on the specific error codes you encountered, if any?

Ugh, error codes... wish I remembered! Nah, honestly, I didn't write them down - just took it straight to the shop. They said something about a software glitch affecting the Bluetooth module and how it hoses the phone pairing. Best bet is to swing by a workshop; they'll sort it quick.

Understood. The issue was indeed a software glitch. Re-pairing with refreshed software at the workshop resolved the issue. Repair cost: 45€ Thank you for the direction.

Hey! I've got a 2008 too, and something similar happened last year. Drove me nuts! Was anything else acting up, like with the infotainment system or anything? I had weird issues with the nav and the sound cutting out occasionally before the phone thing went completely kaput.
