Peugeot 206 AC undervoltage
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Peugeot 206 experienced an air conditioning issue where the system wouldn't switch on, showing an undervoltage error despite the battery appearing fine. The problem was traced to a faulty sensor causing excessive electrical drain, leading to the compressor shutting down as a safety measure. The solution involved replacing the sensor and topping up the refrigerant, resolving the issue.

Relay and pressure switch appear functional, but I haven't ruled out a minor refrigerant leak. Is the AC relay prone to failure on these, or am I chasing shadows?

On mine, it turned out to be a flaky relay that wasn't throwing any obvious codes until it completely died. Though given the undervoltage code, that's worth investigating further. Honestly, might be worth having a workshop take a look. I spent too long chasing ghosts before biting the bullet.

Thanks. Workshop confirmed the undervoltage issue. It seems a faulty sensor was causing excessive drain, leading to the compressor shutting down as a safety measure. Repair came to 240€, including sensor replacement and refrigerant top-up.

Hmm, A/C problems on a 206. Sounds familiar. Did you check the AC relay and pressure switch? Could be a refrigerant leak triggering a shutdown. Any recent work on the car?
