Peugeot 206 Damping Adjustment Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Peugeot 206 owner experienced a damping adjustment fault, indicated by a warning light and a bumpier ride. The issue likely stemmed from a defective cable or plug connection, possibly triggered by hitting a pothole. The suggested solution was to have the system checked at a workshop, where the problem was confirmed to be a faulty connector, which was then repaired.

Thanks for the reply. It seems to be affecting the ride all the time now, but I think the light originally came on after I hit a particularly bad pothole. Since then, the light has stayed on, but sometimes it disappears after restarting the car. I tried wiggling some of the cables, but nothing seemed to change. Does that sound like what you experienced?

Yep, sounds incredibly familiar. I messed around with it for ages before giving up. Best bet is to get the system checked in a workshop. They should be able to pinpoint the broken cable or the faulty connection fast.

Thanks for the help. I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. It was a defective connector. Cost 95€ to repair. Appreciate the advice!

Hey, I had a similar issue with my 206. Is it affecting it all the time, or just when you hit a bump? Was the error there immediately, or did it appear after hitting something?
