Peugeot 206 Defrost Flap Issue

Hey, I'm having a weird issue with my 2003 Peugeot 206 (gasoline engine). The defrost air distribution flap seems to be acting up. I'm getting an error stored in the memory, and the heating output is way too low. I suspect it's a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone else experienced this? I’m staring down a 95€ repair bill...

Sounds familiar! I've got a 206 too. Is the air mainly coming out of the center vents even when you've selected the windshield defrost? If so, it could be the same issue I had. Was your ventilation system acting up before this, like making strange noises?

Yes, that's exactly it! Air's coming from the center vents no matter what I select. And yes, I did hear some clicking noises from behind the dash a few weeks ago. What did you end up doing to fix it?

Those noises are a dead giveaway. Sadly, I couldn't find an easy fix myself, so I had to take it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the defrost flap motor and its connections. Saved myself a headache in the long run. Bit the bullet and paid for the repair.

Thanks for the confirmation! I was hoping it wouldn't come to that, but it sounds like a trip to the shop is inevitable. At least I know what to expect now! Thanks again for your help!
