Peugeot 206 heating problem
Summary of the thread
A 2003 Peugeot 206 was experiencing a heating issue where the heater only blew lukewarm air, accompanied by an error code related to the water valve. The problem was suspected to be either a dodgy connection or a failing water valve. After checking the wiring and finding no issues, the water valve was replaced, resolving the heating problem and clearing the error code.

No overheating, thankfully. Just the weak heat and the error code. You think it's unlikely to just be a loose wire, then? I was hoping for an easy fix, but a failing valve sounds pricier.

While a dodgy connection could cause it, the symptoms and error code lean towards the valve itself. You could try checking the wiring, but honestly, a replacement is probably on the cards. It's not a super complicated job, but might be worth getting a workshop to handle it.

Thanks for the advice. I checked the wiring as you suggested, but it all looked fine. Bit the bullet and had the water valve replaced. Cost me 95€, but the heating's working perfectly now and the error's gone. Cheers!

I had a similar issue on my 206. Is the engine overheating at all? Could be the water valve itself failing, especially if the error code points directly to it.
