Peugeot 207 Airbag Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Peugeot 207 is experiencing an airbag fault, indicated by a constantly illuminated SRS light. The initial inspection of wiring under the seats and in the steering column showed no visible damage. A diagnostic scan was suggested to identify the error code, with a focus on connections to the airbags and control unit. Ultimately, a local shop discovered a corroded connector, resolving the issue for 95€.

A scan tool makes sense. Any specific areas you'd recommend checking first once I get the code?

Given the age of the vehicle, focus primarily on connections to the airbags themselves and the control unit. However, considering the safety implications of SRS faults, visiting a workshop is advisable. Airbag issues can be complex and potentially dangerous to troubleshoot without the correct tools and knowledge.

Thanks for the advice. A local shop found a corroded connector. 95€ and the SRS light is gone!

Based on the symptoms, it's highly probable the issue stems from a defective cable or plug connection within the airbag system. Have you considered a diagnostic scan to pinpoint the error code?
