Peugeot 207 Auxiliary Heater Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Peugeot 207 diesel has an auxiliary heater issue where the parking heater won't activate, and an error is stored in the memory. The climate control, heater core, and blower motor are functioning normally. The suspected cause is a defective glow plug. After further investigation, it was confirmed that the glow plug was indeed the problem, and replacing it resolved the issue.

Funny smell? Hmm, I haven't noticed anything distinct. Can you elaborate? What did the smell mean in your case?

Yeah, mine had this weird, almost burnt plastic smell. Turned out a sensor was fried. Since you don't have that, and you suspect the glow plug, I'd honestly suggest taking it to a workshop. Auxiliary heaters can be tricky buggers.

Okay, cheers. I appreciate the input! Glow plug was indeed the culprit. Cost me 440€ to get it sorted, but at least the auxiliary heater is back in action. Thanks again!

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra. Different car, same kind of grief. Does it smell funny when you try to use it?
