Peugeot 207 Blower Motor Failure

Hi, I've got a 2014 Peugeot 207 diesel and the blower motor's stopped working. I suspect it might be the AUC sensor since I've read that can cause issues with the auto recirculation. Anyone had similar problems or know where I can find the air quality sensor? Car has 215557 km.

Hey there! AUC sensor eh? That's an interesting one. I've heard stories about those things going haywire. If the blower isn't working at all, and you're pointing fingers at the AUC, it could well be a bad connection. You'd want to check the wiring and the plug itself for any corrosion or damage. Have you checked any fuses related to the blower motor or the HVAC system? Also, do you have any error codes showing up on your dashboard?

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't checked the fuses yet, that's a good point. But regarding the connector - do you know where exactly to find the AUC sensor in the 207? That might help me pinpoint the location to check the cable.

Okay, so if you're tracking down that AUC sensor, it's usually tucked away near the air intake for the HVAC system. In some cars, it's behind the glove box, or sometimes near the base of the windshield, under the hood. But honestly, given it's affecting the blower, and you're unsure, and it's a diesel with a bit of mileage on it, I’d suggest getting a workshop to take a peek. It could be a number of things, and they can diagnose it properly and have the parts you need. It might save you a lot of headache!

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took your suggestion and went to a workshop. Turns out it was indeed a defective cable at the AUC sensor, just like you suspected. They replaced the cable and plug, and now the blower works perfectly again. Repair cost was 95€ Appreciate the help!
