Peugeot 207 brake light fault

Hi, I've got a 2012 Peugeot 207 with a gasoline engine. Recently, the brake lights sometimes don't come on when I press the pedal. I'm also getting an error message on the dash, and my OBD II scanner is showing an error code. I'm thinking it might be the brake light switch. Anyone seen this before?

I had a similar problem with my 207. If the brake lights are failing sometimes and you're getting an error message, it's likely the brake light switch. It's a common fault. Have you checked the switch itself for damage or loose connections?

Thanks for the quick reply. Where is the brake light switch located, and what should I look for when inspecting it? I want to check it myself before taking it to a garage.

The switch is usually near the top of the brake pedal. Honestly, I wouldn't spend too much time fiddling if you're not confident. Just go to the workshop.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to the workshop, and it was the brake light switch. I must have damaged it while cleaning around the pedal area. They fixed it for free.
