Peugeot 207 Damping Adjustment Fault

Alright Peugeot heads, listen up! My 2007 Peugeot 207, gasoline engine, is throwing a fit. 164k km on the clock. I'm getting a 'damping adjustment fault' error stored, the warning light's mocking me from the speedometer, and the ride feels like I'm piloting a bouncy castle. Seriously, every little bump feels HUGE! Checked the obvious stuff, but could a dodgy cable or plug connection REALLY cause all this drama? Anyone else wrestled with this demon?

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had something very similar happen with my Peugeot 207 (don't remember the exact year right now). Bumpy ride city! Did you notice anything else? For me, it was almost like the suspension was completely shot on one side, and the car felt super unstable in corners. Is that similar to what you're experiencing?

Unstable in corners, you say? Hmmm, not as pronounced as that, but now that you mention it, there's definitely a bit of a wobble. More like a delayed reaction when I turn. So, what was the culprit in your case? Was it just a simple fix, or did you have to sell a kidney to get it sorted?

Okay, delayed reaction wobble definitely rings a bell. Honestly, after poking around for a bit myself, I threw in the towel and took it to a workshop. They plugged it in, fiddled with some wires, and boom – faulty connection. Cost me around 95€. I'd suggest getting yours properly diagnosed to be sure, but that sounds awfully familiar. Good luck!

95€? I can live with that! Alright, sounds like a trip to the shop is in order. Thanks a ton for sharing your experience – that wobble clue was the key! I was dreading needing new shock absorbers. Will post the solution once I get it sorted. Cheers!
