Peugeot 207 DPF Pressure Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Peugeot 207 diesel exhibited warning lights, reduced engine power, smoke during acceleration, and a strong exhaust odor, with diagnostics indicating low diesel particulate filter exhaust pressure. The suspected cause was a defective exhaust back pressure sensor. A forced DPF regeneration was attempted but did not resolve the issue. Replacing the exhaust back pressure sensor at a workshop successfully resolved the problem.

I tried a forced DPF regeneration via the diagnostic tool, but the problem is still there. Since the problem returned, did replacing the exhaust back pressure sensor fix it for you?

Yes, replacing the sensor fixed it for me. The regeneration might work once or twice, but it's just a band-aid. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop; they should be able to confirm the sensor's fault and replace it.

I had the exhaust back pressure sensor replaced at a workshop, and the issue is resolved. The total repair cost was 245€. Thanks for the help.

I had similar symptoms on my 207. Reduced power and the smell were the worst. Did you try forcing a DPF regeneration? Sometimes that helps clear things up temporarily, but if the sensor is faulty, it'll likely return.
