Peugeot 207 headlight range control fault

My 2014 Peugeot 207 (gasoline engine) is throwing a "headlight range control fault." The dashboard warning light is on, and my low beams are either pointing at the sky or directly into the ground. Mileage is at 83807 km. Anyone seen this before?

Sounds familiar. I had something similar happen with my old Opel Astra. Kept getting a headlight error and the beam adjustment was all over the place. Did you check the electrical connectors to the headlight? Sometimes it's just a bad connection.

Connectors, huh? Where exactly should I be looking? Is it something obvious, or do I need to take the whole headlight assembly apart?

On the Astra, it was a pain to get to. You might need to remove the headlight to get a good look. Honestly, if you're not comfortable poking around, it might be worth having a workshop take a quick look. Could save you some hassle in the long run. Seems like the servomotor is defective.

I appreciate the input. Ended up taking it to a shop. Turns out the servomotor in the headlight was toast, just like you said. Cost me 1040€ to get it fixed. Ugh!
