Peugeot 207 Jerking Acceleration

I'm experiencing jerking when accelerating in my Peugeot 207, 2006 diesel. The check engine light is on, and there's reduced engine power. It sometimes stalls at idle and runs rough, with a strong exhaust smell. The error memory also stored an error. Could this be an engine misfire?

Sounds familiar! I have a 207 diesel as well. Were there any vacuum leaks when you checked? Did you check the air intake?

Thank you for your reply. I'm not very experienced with these things. Is there anything specific I should look for regarding the air intake? Where should I look?

It could be the intake manifold leaking due to scorching. I had similar symptoms. It could also be other things, to be honest. I think it's better to bring it to a workshop.

Thank you for the information. I took it to a workshop. Turns out the intake manifold was defective, as you suggested. Repair cost was 1180€. At least now it's fixed.
