Peugeot 207 rough idle stalling jerking

Alright Peugeot heads, I've got a head-scratcher. My 2006 Peugeot 207, gasoline engine, is giving me fits at 99540 km. The check engine light is on, the engine idles rough, sometimes stalls completely, and it's jerking like crazy when I try to accelerate. I'm leaning towards a fuel pressure sensor issue, but I'm not convinced. Anyone else seen this before?

Sounds familiar. Rough idle, stalling, and jerking point towards fuel delivery problems. Before you replace the sensor, have you checked the wiring and connectors going to the fuel pressure sensor? A loose or corroded connection can cause all those symptoms and trigger the check engine light.

Good point! I suspected the sensor itself, but you're right, it could be the connection. Where exactly should I be looking for these connections on the 207? Are there any common trouble spots?

Yes, the connections are a common issue. Given all of the symptoms you're experiencing, a defective fuel pressure sensor caused by faulty cable connections is very likely. I would recommend having the car checked in the workshop.

Thanks for the tip! You were spot on about the wiring. Took it to the shop, and it turned out to be a corroded connector on the fuel pressure sensor. They cleaned it up and secured it properly, and the problem's gone. Cost me 95€, much better than a new fuel pump! Appreciate the help.
