Peugeot 207 System Readiness Check

Hey, I've got a 2013 Peugeot 207 diesel that's giving me headaches. The system readiness check is incomplete, and I'm getting an error message in the speedometer. I recently had the car hooked up to an OBD2 scanner, could that be the reason? It’s got 280088 km on the clock.

I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane after using an OBD reader. The onboard diagnostics hadn't fully reset. Did you perform a drive cycle after the scan?

A drive cycle? What exactly does that involve? Is it something I can do myself, or is it workshop stuff?

Correct. The OBD readiness flags were likely cleared during the diagnostic readout. You can attempt a drive cycle, but without knowing the specific Peugeot drive cycle parameters, it is best to consult a workshop. They can force the readiness monitors to run, or at least tell you what driving pattern you need to follow.

Thanks a lot for the help! I went to the workshop, and they confirmed it was just the readiness monitors needing to be reset. They did it for free! Problem solved!
