Peugeot 207 transmission issue

I'm having trouble with my 2010 Peugeot 207 diesel. At 42086 km, the transmission indicator and check engine lights came on, and the automatic transmission is in emergency mode. Shifting isn't smooth, the gearbox slips and makes grinding noises, and there's an error stored: 'Radiator oil pressure defective'. I'm wondering if a faulty cable or plug connection could be the cause?

That sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my old Opel Astra after a coolant leak. Check the pressure sensor connections near the cooling fan and radiator coolant reservoir. It could be a simple fix, but it's hard to be sure without proper diagnostics.

Could you be more specific about which connections I should inspect? I'm not entirely sure where the pressure sensor is located in relation to the cooling fan and coolant reservoir.

I remember the sensor being near the bottom of the radiator, on the driver's side, with a small plug. But honestly, given the gearbox symptoms and the error code, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. It could be more complex than just a loose connection.

Turns out you were right. It was a faulty cable connection near the radiator. The workshop identified and repaired it. Total cost: 95€! Thanks again for your help.
