Peugeot 207 Undervoltage Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Peugeot 207 is experiencing undervoltage issues, indicated by slow starts, failing systems, and weak lights, suggesting a dying battery. Possible causes include a malfunctioning charging system, particularly the alternator, or poor battery terminal connections due to corrosion or looseness. Solutions involve checking the battery voltage while the engine is running, inspecting and cleaning the battery terminals, and having the alternator professionally evaluated.

Thanks! When you had similar issues, did any specific electrical components seem especially affected by the voltage drop? Trying to narrow things down before I replace the battery.

Yeah, the ABS and power steering acted erratically. Cleaning the terminals helped for a bit, but the problem came back, which pointed to the charging system. Given all the issues you're seeing, I'd get the alternator checked by a pro.

That's really helpful! I'll get the charging system and alternator looked at. Thanks a lot for the help. Hope it doesn't cost too much. I'll let you know what happens.

I drive a 207 as well, and your symptoms sound eerily familiar. Have you had the battery voltage checked while the engine is running? It could be a charging system malfunction, possibly with the alternator. Also, inspect your battery terminals for corrosion or looseness, as a poor connection can certainly cause voltage drops. Let me know what you find.
