Peugeot 208 cooling grille issue
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Peugeot 208 diesel is experiencing issues with an erratic temperature gauge, a check engine light, and slow warming up. The initial suspicion was a faulty fuse for the cooling grille, but replacing it didn't resolve the problem. Suggestions included checking the thermostat and coolant level, with a similar past issue pointing to the cooling grille as the likely cause. Ultimately, the problem was confirmed to be a defective cooling grille fuse, which was resolved at a workshop.

Coolant level is fine, battery is fairly new. You reckon it's the same cooling grille thing? What exactly went wrong with yours? Was it a sensor or something?

Yeah, that's the likely culprit, cooling grille. Mine was acting up just like yours. I just took it to a workshop. They sorted it pretty quick.

I appreciate the advice. Looks like a trip to the shop is on the cards. Turns out the fuse for the cooling grille was defective after all, just like I initially suspected, but I couldn't find it. Cost me 52€.

Sounds familiar. Is it struggling to maintain temperature once it eventually warms up, too? Feels like the thermostat is stuck open, right? Check the coolant level. How old is your battery?
