Thanks for the reply! Which sensors did you check specifically? Was it also the fuel volume regulator, or something else entirely? And did yours also stall? Any more details you can remember would be a huge help!

Okay, so mine was a bit different, but the symptoms were almost identical! It turned out that the high pressure pump was defective. I suggest you go to the workshop. They'll be able to diagnose it properly.

You're a lifesaver! I'll definitely take it to the workshop and mention the high pressure pump. Seems like that's the most likely culprit. Turns out the eventual repair cost was 1510€. Thanks again for sharing your experience!

Whoa, that sounds rough! I had something similar happen with my Peugeot 208, although I can't remember the exact year. The engine misfire was driving me crazy! Did you check the car sensors? It could be a faulty sensor messing with the fuel efficiency and causing all sorts of problems.
