Peugeot 208 Misfire Resolved

Evening. My 2013 Peugeot 208, gasoline engine, has developed a rather annoying misfire at only 25035 km. Engine's running rough, check engine light's on, jerks when accelerating, and feels like I'm down on power. Seems like a cylinder misfire but I'm struggling to pin it down. Any ideas?

Sounds like a classic case of combustion misfires! The symptoms definitely point in that direction. Have you checked the spark plugs? A faulty spark plug can cause all sorts of havoc, like a tiny pebble in your shoe that throws off your whole stride. Also, have you had the error codes read? That should give you a much clearer picture of which cylinder is misfiring, like having a map to guide you instead of wandering aimlessly.

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't checked the plugs yet, but I did get the error codes read. It's showing misfires detected, pointing towards the injection system. Any thoughts on what to check with the injection before I start tearing things apart?

Ah, misfires pointing towards the injection system narrows it down significantly! If the error codes specifically mention the injection, it could be a defective injection valve/injector itself. Think of it like a clogged artery; fuel can't flow properly. Before you go too deep, I'd recommend consulting a workshop to avoid any further damage, they should know exactly what to do.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions and for the analogy - I appreciate it! I took it to a workshop, and it turned out to be a defective injector, as you suspected. Repair cost me 515€. Runs like new now!
