Peugeot 3008 Alarm System Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Peugeot 3008 diesel experienced a siren communication fault, leading to a non-functional alarm system. The issue was suspected to be a defective cable or plug connection. A similar problem on a Volvo was resolved by checking fuses and inspecting the wiring for corrosion. Following this advice, a technician found a corroded connection in the wiring harness, and a 95€ repair restored the alarm system's functionality.

Thanks! Which specific fuses should I check and where are they located? Any more details about your Volvo experience would be great.

Yeah, for sure. On the Volvo, it ended up being a corroded wire in the harness going to the siren itself. A mechanic found it. Honestly, I'd suggest getting a workshop to check the wiring. They'll have the right tools to diagnose it properly.

Hey, I had something similar on my old Volvo. Same symptoms - alarm just quit. Did you check all the fuses related to the alarm system? Sometimes it's just a blown fuse causing the whole headache.
