Peugeot 3008 Cruise Control Failure

My 2015 Peugeot 3008, gasoline engine, cruise control just died at 140175 km. I get an error message, and the cruise control is unresponsive. I scanned it, and there's an error stored. I suspect a dodgy cable or plug, but car electronics make me nervous! Anyone seen this before?

Sounds familiar. I have a 3008 as well, and I had something similar happen a while back. Same symptoms: cruise control light came on, error message popped up, and the system was dead. Have you checked the fuse box at all? Sometimes it's something simple like that.

Good thought! Which fuse should I be looking at specifically? And did you happen to find a faulty cable or connector once you dug a little deeper? Trying to avoid a massive headache tracing wires if I can!

Honestly, I didn't go too far down the rabbit hole myself. I checked the fuses but couldn't immediately identify anything, so I just took it to a workshop. They diagnosed a defective actuator and replaced it. I would recommend you do the same.

Appreciate the insight! Seems like the best bet is to bite the bullet and get it checked out by a pro. I took it in, and you were spot on – faulty actuator, plus a corroded connector. 95€ later, and it's all sorted! Thanks again!
