Thanks. I visually checked the harness, but no thorough testing. What did you do to fix your Opel Insignia? Any specific areas to check?

I didn't solve it myself. Suspected an intermittent wiring fault and took it to a workshop. That's what it was. I'd recommend the same.

Appreciate the advice. Took it to my local workshop. They found a defective cable, replaced it, and cleared the error. Cost 95€. Tailgate works now. Thanks again!

Had a similar problem with my Opel Insignia. Same symptoms, tailgate wouldn't fully open, and the error pointed to the hall sensor. Have you checked the sensor wiring harness for damage or corrosion?
