Peugeot 3008 Temperature Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A Peugeot 3008 owner is experiencing issues with the outside temperature sensor, which is affecting the air conditioning, spray nozzles, and mirror heating. The problem may be due to a defective cable or plug connection. Another owner with similar symptoms suggests checking the sensor calibration and mentions that a workshop confirmed the issue was with the sensor and a faulty connector. The recommended solution is to have the sensor and connector inspected by a professional.

Could you elaborate on checking the sensor calibration? What steps did you take, and what were the results?

Honestly, I fiddled with it for an afternoon, and it just got worse. I ended up taking it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the sensor and a dodgy connector. Saved me a lot of grief, even if it cost a bit.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I appreciate the advice and will take it to a workshop as well to have the sensor and connector checked. The expected repair costs are estimated at 95€.

I've got a 3008 too, and this sounds awfully familiar! I had the same symptoms last winter – AC not working, frozen washer jets, the whole shebang. Did you check the sensor calibration? I remember it threw me for a loop.
