Peugeot 301 Crankcase Ventilation Issue

My 2012 Peugeot 301, gasoline engine, is acting up. Check engine light's on, feels like it's lost power, and it's puffing out smoke when I accelerate. I'm guessing it's the crankcase ventilation valve. Anyone else had this?

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my 301, though I didn't catch it as early as you have. The smoke is a telltale sign. Have you noticed any oil leaks or unusual noises from the engine? Did you check the PCV valve itself for any visible damage or blockages?

Oil leaks, no, thankfully. Noises, nothing out of the ordinary, just a general sense of it running rough. I haven't pulled the valve itself yet - is it difficult to get to?

Accessing the valve isn't too bad, but based on your description, it definitely sounds like a ventilation issue. I messed around with mine for a while, trying to clean it, but in the end, I had to take it to a workshop. They confirmed my suspicions and replaced the valve.

Alright, sounds like I'm heading to the workshop then. Thanks for confirming my fears! At least I know what to expect.
