Thanks. The stalling is random, not after refueling. It happens intermittently at idle, no matter the fuel level. Given your Opel experience, could I fix it myself, or should I go to a workshop?

Given the random nature, and that you already suspect the ventilation valve, that's likely it. I'd recommend a workshop. The emission system is finicky. I made things worse trying to fix my Opel myself.

Appreciated. I'll book my local mechanic to check the tank ventilation valve thoroughly. Seems my initial thought was close. They found the hoses clogged as I suspected. Final bill was 175€. Thanks again for sharing your experience; it was invaluable!

I had a similar issue with my old Opel: check engine light and stalling. It was also fuel tank ventilation. Those systems are sensitive. Does it stall predictably, like after refueling, or is it random?
