Yes, the security light does flash. It's incredibly annoying. Was it definitely the immobilizer in your case? What did you end up doing to fix it?

Yep, it was the immobilizer. I tried a few basic things myself, but eventually took it to a workshop. They sorted it pretty quickly.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a local shop, and they confirmed it was a key programming issue. They reprogrammed the key, and it cost me 45€. Starts perfectly now!

Sounds familiar. I had similar starting problems with my 301. Does the security light flash or stay on?
