Peugeot 301 oil pressure warning

I have a 2018 Peugeot 301 diesel with 204150 km on the clock. Recently, the oil pressure warning light keeps popping up in the speedometer, and I also get a 'fault' message. I scanned for error codes, and it points to a faulty engine oil temperature sensor. Could it really be the sensor, or is it something else?

I had a similar scare with my 301. That oil pressure light is no joke. Before you panic, have you checked the sensor's wiring? Could be a simple loose connection or a damaged cable. Is the oil gauge working properly?

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely check the wiring and plug connection and the oil gauge. Where exactly is the oil temperature sensor located in the 301?

Honestly, finding it yourself might be a pain. But if the light is still on after checking the oil level and wiring, just get it to a workshop. Probably is the oil temperature sensor, but better safe than sorry. It was a defective cable in my case.

It was indeed the oil temperature sensor's cable! Workshop confirmed it, replaced the faulty cable, and now everything is fine. Cost me 95€ Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
