Peugeot 301 radio error

I'm having a radio issue with my 2019 Peugeot 301, gasoline engine, with 111685 km on the clock. The infotainment system keeps displaying an error message, and sometimes the audio just cuts out completely. There's also an error stored in the system memory. Could this be the antenna? I suspect a defective antenna might be the culprit, what do you think?

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my old Opel Astra. Constant static noise, then complete silence. Did you check the signal amplifier? It could also be a grounding issue causing radio interference. Is the antenna cable properly connected?

Signal amplifier... grounding issue... I haven't checked those, honestly. Where exactly is the signal amplifier located? And how would I even diagnose a grounding issue? Is it difficult?

Well, on my Astra, the amp was near the antenna base, but I wouldn't know about your 301. Honestly, checking grounding and all that can be a pain. I ended up taking mine to a workshop. It turned out the antenna was defective. It's probably best to get it checked by a pro. That's what I'd do.

Thanks for the advice! I appreciate it. I took it to a workshop as you suggested. Turns out it was indeed the antenna. New antenna installed and everything works perfectly again. Total cost was 255€.
