Peugeot 307 Camshaft Sensor Issue

I have a 2003 Peugeot 307 with a gasoline engine. It starts poorly, engine power is reduced, and an error is stored. Mileage is at 32654 km. Suspect camshaft sensor. Could a defective cable or plug connection be the culprit?

Oh no, that sounds familiar! I also have a Peugeot 307. I had similar issues a while back. Did your check engine light come on, and did you notice any stalling?

Yes, the check engine light is on. No stalling so far. Was it the camshaft sensor in your case, or something else?

Alright, in my case, the symptoms were very similar and yes, it turned out to be the camshaft position sensor. Given your symptoms and the error code, I'd say it's highly likely. Have you considered visiting a workshop to confirm?

Thanks for the confirmation. You were right; it was indeed the camshaft sensor and specifically a defective connection. Repair cost me 95€. Appreciate the help!
