Peugeot 307 Check Engine Light Air Valve

My 2005 Peugeot 307 (gasoline engine) is throwing a check engine light at only 12679 km. I suspect an air valve issue. The hose connection from the pump to the valve looks defective, probably a vacuum leak affecting manifold pressure. Anyone had similar issues?

I had a similar problem with my Peugeot 307 a while back. The check engine light was on constantly, and the idle was rough. I'm not sure if it was the exact same hose, but was it affecting the air supply? I'm no expert, but is the engine running strangely?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it does seem to be affecting the air supply. Manifold pressure seems off. And yes, idle is a bit rough. Was yours definitely a hose issue, and if so, did you fix it yourself, or was it a trip to the mechanic?

Mine was definitely a hose issue. I tried to check all vacuum hoses myself, but couldn't find the leak. I ended up taking it to a workshop. They diagnosed it pretty quickly. I'd say go to a mechanic. Might save you some time and further headaches.

Thanks, appreciate the confirmation. I'll get it booked in. It was the hose as suspected; total cost 175€, including diagnosis and parts.
