Peugeot 307 mirror heating issue
Summary of the thread
A 2002 Peugeot 307 is experiencing an issue with non-functional mirror heating on both sides. The fuses have been checked and are fine, but an error related to the mirrors is stored in the error memory. A possible cause could be corroded or loose connections within the mirror housing, particularly where the wires from the mirror heater element connect to the main wiring harness. Checking these connections for corrosion or looseness is suggested as a potential solution before considering more costly repairs.

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't actually taken the mirror apart yet to check the wiring. Good point about the corrosion, though. Where exactly should I be looking for the corroded connections? And I saw the error using an OBD reader from a friend.

Okay, that sounds like the exact same issue I faced. For me, it was the connector where the wires from the mirror heater element plugged into the main wiring harness inside the mirror housing. It's a bit fiddly to get to, but worth a look before shelling out for new mirrors. In the end, I brought it to the workshop. It's hard to say without seeing it, but likely cause is the cable or plug connection of the component defective.

Okay, great! I'll take a look at the connections inside the mirror housing this weekend. If not, I think I'll bring it to the workshop like you suggested. The repair should cost around 95€. Thanks for the help!

Hey! I had something similar happen with my 307. The mirror heating went kaput. Have you checked the wiring going into the mirror housing itself? Sometimes those connections can get corroded or loose, especially with the weather changes. That was the issue for me. Where did you see the error stored?
