Peugeot 307 Multifunction Steering Wheel Failure

My 2006 Peugeot 307 gasoline model (47843 km) has a problem: the multifunction steering wheel isn't working, and there's an error stored. I think it's a bad cable connection in the steering wheel control module. Anyone seen this before?

I had a similar issue with my 307 steering controls. It was incredibly frustrating. Were all the steering controls affected, or just some of them?

All functions are inoperative. Steering wheel controls are completely unresponsive. Is this consistent with your past experience?

Yes, that sounds exactly like what happened to mine. Given the symptoms and your suspicion of a cable fault, I'd suggest having a workshop check the connections. It's a fiddly area to work on yourself without the right tools and knowledge. I ended up having to go to a shop to get mine fixed.

Thank you for confirming. The issue was indeed a defective cable connection, as suspected. The repair cost 95€.
