Peugeot 307 Outside Temperature Sensor Fault

Hey, I'm having trouble with my 2001 Peugeot 307 (gasoline engine). The outside temperature sensor seems faulty. I'm getting an error code, the AC won't turn on, my spray nozzles are freezing, and the mirror heating isn't working! I suspect a bad connection, but I'm not sure where to start.

Sounds familiar. I had similar problems with my 307. Have you checked the sensor itself for any visible damage or corrosion on the connector?

Where exactly is the sensor located? Is it easy to get to? And what kind of damage am I looking for specifically?

It's usually near the front bumper, behind the grille. Honestly, after fiddling with it myself, I just took mine to a workshop. They sorted it out quickly.

Thanks! I took it to the workshop. Turns out it was a defective cable and connector, just like you thought. They replaced it for 95€. Everything is working again!
