Peugeot 307 Starting Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Peugeot 307 diesel is experiencing intermittent starting issues, cutting out while driving, and running roughly. The problem may be more pronounced in damp or cold conditions. A possible cause identified is a defective fuse in the ignition switch. The suggested solution is to have the vehicle checked by a professional, which led to the resolution of the issue by replacing the faulty fuse.

Damp or cold... hmm, maybe? I haven't really paid attention. Where is the ignition coil even located? And what am I looking for?

Turns out it wasn't the ignition coil, it was just a defective fuse! But I'm not a mechanic, so I would go to a workshop if I were you.

Thanks for the tip! Took it to a shop, and you were right! It was just a fuse in the ignition switch. Cost me 52€ to fix. You saved me a lot of worry!

I had a similar problem with my 307. Does it happen more when it's damp or cold? Also, have you checked the ignition coil?
