Peugeot 307 Tire Pressure Sensor Fault

I've encountered an issue with my 2003 Peugeot 307, gasoline engine. At 161285 km, the car displays a persistent tire pressure sensor fault. The speedometer says 'Tire pressure too low,' and this error is stored. I suspect the sensor battery is depleted, but I'd appreciate any insights.

That sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my Opel Astra. The tire pressure warning light was constantly on, even after inflating the tires. Have you tried manually checking the tire pressure with a gauge to confirm whether the displayed pressure is actually incorrect? It could be a faulty sensor, or even just a simple communication issue between the sensor and the car's computer.

Thank you. I have verified the tire pressure manually, and it is within the recommended range. Given that the actual tire pressure is correct, and the error persists, what was the resolution in your case with the Opel Astra? Was it indeed a sensor issue, and how did you address it?

Yes, in my case, it turned out to be a faulty TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) sensor. Since the manual check showed the tires were fine, and you've confirmed the same, I'd strongly suspect a sensor issue as well. I recommend taking it to a workshop to get the sensors properly diagnosed. They can use a scan tool to read the sensor data and confirm if one or more sensors are not functioning correctly.

I appreciate the confirmation and advice. I will schedule an appointment with a workshop to diagnose the TPMS sensors. After the diagnosis, the workshop determined that the tire pressure sensors were faulty. The repair involved replacing all four sensors, which cost approximately 280€. The issue is now resolved.
