Peugeot 307 Transport Mode Active Electrical Malfunction

My 2009 Peugeot 307 diesel (75160 km) displays 'Transport mode active,' and I'm experiencing a general electrical malfunction. The navigation system is also dead. I suspect this is because the car is essentially 'new' to me. Any thoughts on what the issue could be? I suspect some kind of immobilizer preventing an engine start.

I had something similar with my 307. Is it completely dead, or just acting strange? It sounds like the car thinks it's still on the delivery truck. I'd suggest checking all your fuses. It could be something simple. I would start with a diagnostic check.

The engine won't start at all, and the electrical systems are behaving erratically. It's like the car is in some sort of sleep mode. Is this the same issue you experienced? Did you try anything else besides checking fuses?

Yeah, that's pretty much exactly what happened to mine. I fiddled with it for a while, checking all the usual suspects, but eventually, I had to bite the bullet and take it to a workshop with the proper diagnostic equipment. They sorted it out pretty quickly, and thankfully there was no cost involved. Definitely worth a visit to a mechanic.

I managed to get the 'Transport mode active' deactivated by following the workshop instructions through the diagnostic check equipment. Car electronics are now working as expected.
