Peugeot 308 Audio System Failure

Hi, I'm having trouble with the audio system in my 2010 Peugeot 308 (gasoline engine). The whole system is dead – no sound at all. The display doesn't seem to work and the car's computer stores an error related to the audio system. I've checked the fuses, but they seem fine. Any ideas?

Hey, I had something similar happen in my Peugeot 308 a while back. Does the volume control seem unresponsive, or is it just complete silence from the car speakers? Could be faulty wiring, but sounds like a display issue, these models are known for it.

Thanks for the quick response! Yeah, the volume control does nothing at all, and there's absolutely no sound, just silence. How did you resolve your sound system issue?

Sounds like the display is defective indeed. I also thought it was the speakers, but it wasn't. I'd suggest a workshop visit. I tried to fix the audio quality myself, but it was beyond my capabilities.

Thanks a lot! I'll take it to a workshop. They confirmed it's the display and quoted 725€ for the repair. Ouch! But at least I know what the problem is. Cheers!
