Peugeot 308 control unit programming implausible
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Peugeot 308 hybrid is experiencing electrical malfunctions and a non-functional navigation system, with diagnostics indicating an implausible programming issue in the control unit. The problem seems to be rooted in the ECU, and a software reset or reflash is suggested as a solution. Despite attempts to avoid dealership costs, a workshop visit for re-flashing the control unit appears necessary to resolve the issue.

Yes, the onboard diagnostics definitely points towards the control unit being the culprit, specifically an issue with its programming. It seems like the errors all stem from there. Was your Volvo also pointing to a control unit issue or something else?

Confirmed, my issue was traced back to the ECU as well. Unfortunately, there wasn't anything I could do myself. Best bet is to get it to the workshop; they'll likely need to re-flash the control unit.

Thanks for the confirmation and advice. I was hoping to avoid it, but it sounds like a workshop visit is inevitable. I went to the shop and they said the same: programming of the control unit was implausible. Cost me 240€ to fix. Appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar experience with my 2019 Volvo XC60. Random electrical gremlins and a useless infotainment system. Did the diagnostics point specifically to the control unit?
