Peugeot 308 Electric Steering Problems
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Peugeot 308 electric vehicle is experiencing steering issues, including increased effort and vibrations, potentially indicating a failing power steering system. The problem might be linked to a faulty steering angle sensor, as suggested by another user who experienced similar issues. A workshop visit is recommended to address the sensor's coding issue and check the wheel alignment, which could also contribute to the problem.

Wheel alignment, huh? Interesting thought. It did take a beating on some country roads. But would that really explain the vibrating steering wheel? Is there a sensor I should check first?

The shaking was the worst for me. It turned out the coding on the steering angle sensor was faulty. You'll probably need a workshop. They can sort the wheel alignment at the same time, hopefully.

Workshop it is. They think the steering angle sensor is faulty, coding issue, just like you said. Quoted me 195€. Hopefully that fixes it. Thanks for the help!

Sounds rough. I had similar issues with my old Renault Megane, though it was petrol. The steering felt heavy and shaky. Have you checked the wheel alignment? Maybe alignment problems are messing with the traction control?
