Yeah, the engine light is definitely on. Was it a costly repair? Did you have the same symptoms as me? Did they say exactly what was wrong with the intake manifold? Any info would be a great help!

Okay, engine light plus those symptoms definitely rings a bell. From what I remember, the hissing sound was a vacuum leak. The issue was definitely with the intake manifold flap. I can't remember the exact parts they replaced, but they mentioned something about the control switch being faulty. In the end, I'd say go to the garage. Better be safe than sorry.

Thanks for the insight! It's good to know I'm not completely barking up the wrong tree. Took it to the workshop and, as you suspected, it was indeed the intake manifold flap control. The switch was defective, and they replaced it. Cost me 465€, but the car runs like new again. Cheers!

Hey, that sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Peugeot 308 (not sure what year exactly). Reduced power and that hissing sound... Is your engine light on too? It sounds like the intake system is having trouble controlling the airflow. I had to get something done with the intake manifold, but I don't remember the exact details.
